I don't know why I am here. I don't even know who I am. All I know is that I am wet. I am cold. And I am hungry.
The night sky glimmered overhead, with a chilly wind sweeping through the trees, chilling me to the bone. In the distance I could see lights and a huge wall with a gate. It was so very far though. I wasn't sure I could make it all the way there. I had to try.
“H-Hey! We have a child out here!” A woman's voice rang out. I was frozen stiff, barely able to cling to consciousness. As I began to fade out, the woman pulled me in close, wrapping me in her warm fuzzy cloak. “It's going to be alright, little Spark. I won't let you freeze.”
As I drifted off, I felt a warm sensation run through my body, thawing me out. Finally warm, I let the darkness take hold. I was warm. And I was safe.
